A new calendar/annual is always a bt exciting for those of us who have been using and reviewing them for decades. The possibilities are so vast and its wonderful when a new vision comes along. One such newcomer to the market is Earth Pathways, published by Moonshares Cooperative Ltd in the UK. Published in the typical 1/2 page format (8.5"x5.5"), Earth Pathways is a spiral bound day planner.
The first thing one notices is that the entire diary is in color, a rarity among day-planners. The second is that while the left-side pages are typeset and formatted, the right-side pages are hand drawn, making this feel like something handmade instead of mass-produced. Each day has a moon phase indicated by a circle with a portion filled in 9or not, when it is the full moon). Void of course times are noted, as are moonrise and set times. Another difference that sets this planner apart from others is that each week has a little space for "Gratitudes." At the end are twelve pages for the months of the year, a year planner, and several pages for 'Notes'.
This is a UK-centric day planner. The times are in GMT and the artist contributors are all from the UK. All of the artwork and writing are placed within the framework of the Celtic Wheel of the Year, making this either a perfect gift for someone, or too difficult to use.
Personally, I love the look of it and I wish something as gorgeous were available for those of us in the USA.
