One of the best things about being a reviewer is the random item that arrives with no warning. It's even better when it turns out to be an absolute GEM!!! Such is the case with Stacey Demarco's Lunar & Seasonal 2019 Diary: Northern Hemisphere.
This is a high-quality (stiff-covered, wire bind) annual made to last an entire year being tucked into backpacks, tote bags, or just next to you on the car seat. It won't lose pages when you crack the spine (as you must with perfect bound annuals) and there is plenty of space to write on each date.
It's also beautiful. Many non-calendar pages have color images and illustrations. There is plenty of information about lunar cycles, plants, crystals, and spellcrafting, magkical timing, and the wheel of the year. Each solar month opens with a page for setting your intentions, a quick description of the associated sabbat (if relevant), a magick working (such as a ritual, a bath, or spell), and a deity. The dates themselves have lunar information and timing and there are bits of poetry scattered throughout for added pleasure.
One of the things I especially love is that Ms. Demarco lists the Dark moon as well as the New Moon -- many planners conflate the two.
This is a gorgeous diary and I highly recommend it!
