The Twelve Faces of the Goddess by Danielle Blackwood combines Astrology, Magick and the Sacred Feminine. For those on the path of working with Magick, you may already know how astrology goes hand in hand. If you aren’t as familiar with astrology, this book will guide you and teach you the basics and more. I love how the author weaves the use of the various Goddesses, Astrological signs and ritual into one. If you are a beginner to magick and ritual that’s okay too. The author has information on the signs, sabbats, elements, planets, casting a circle and more.

The book is set up to be used in all sorts of ways. You can read cover to cover, you can skip to the astrological sign, you can run a free birth chart online so you can focus on your sun sign or moon sign and then through the rest of your planets.
The resources and possibilities in this book and how you use it are endless. It is set up in a way you can pick up over and over. One interesting idea the author suggests is when you need help with something, open up to a random page and see what message is given as advice.

Each sign gives some background, describes the attributes to the sign, discusses how the sign relates to women, has a pathworking area, a ritual and a recap of the sign and correspondences. The book covers various Goddesses from different pantheons and how to work with them. Even if you aren’t well versed or struggle with astrology, you will be able to follow along in the book. The author breaks it down into a way it can be understood by any. Author Daniella Blackwood does a fantastic job of weaving together the ties of astrology, ritual and divine feminine to aid you on your personal development and growth journey. The Twelve Faces of the Goddess is one of the books that should be among your magickal reference books.
