In only 92 pages, Hilary H. Carter breaks down chakras into something anyone can understand with practices and information anyone can use in her book The Chakras Made Easy.  Carter begins her book with a description of what the chakras are, and uses language which, again, anyone can understand and apply to their own belief system.  If she uses a non-English word she also spells it phonetically so the reader can properly phrase the words.

Carter then gives each of the seven main chakras it's own chapter and includes things such as correspondences (scents, crystals, sounds, yoga positions, etc), a description of the chakra energies, signs if the chakra is imbalanced, a short questionnaire and exercises the reader can use to balance the chakra.  The ends the book with descriptions of the seven bodies everyone has, physical and spiritual bodies.

I have to say I loved this book.  I was able to read it in a short period of time, and will it may seem that that means there's a lack of information here, that is not in any way the case.  This is, in my opinion, the perfect beginner book and perfect for someone who wants an introductory level of information I highly, highly recommend this book.
