In the genre of The Farmer’s Almanac, this is a collection of articles with a calendar in it, rather than a datebook supplemented by text. There is little room to keep appointments, for example, but has 24 articles by Elizabeth Barrette, Christopher Penczak, Diana Rajchel (a regular reviewer for Facing North!), Tammy Sullivan and other innovative thinkers. The topics discussed include lifestyles, travel, the virtual witch, and a look at gender differences.
This is a collection of some of my favorite writers, but the book itself falls flat. I don’t have a specific negative comment, I’m sad to say, but more of a feeling of disappointment. I would urge the reader to review it for herself and decide whether the content is appealing, and buy it if it is.
