Witch On The Go is a fabulous little book that packs a lot of punch. This is a book where every word counts and although skimming is delightful, a thorough reading is your best choice. The key to this book relies on what Garrison calls her "Portable Spell Kit". This kit is small to carry at all times, without being obvious. (And she really means it when she says small – the kit can fit inside a candy tin.)
The spells and other words of wisdom are for those of us whose lives are crammed full to overflowing with "things to do, places to go and people to see". (In other words, every woman.) By having this kit always available, spells are possible any time - at home, at work, on vacation, or while traveling. We are able to work magic and honor the cycles any time, anywhere. Garrison notes that a full-blown ritual is not always necessary, and reminds us that our intent goes a long way towards manifesting results.
Garrison weaves sacred consciousness throughout our days, from waking up and greeting the Guardians (or making love to get the juices flowing!) to falling asleep as a ritual activity. She then goes on to give us spells for daily activities, like g Getting stuck in traffic, making sure your airplane seatmate leaves you alone, bathing for rejuvenation, worshipping at the sabbats.
Although we might be tempted to take this book lightly, I believe it speaks to the more advanced practitioner, she who can release the need for physical symbols. That said, Witch On the Go is a great resource for those who are still learning how to do magic – particularly since it can help ease the fear of not ‘doing it perfectly.’
I highly recommend this book for witches everywhere, of every age, and at every stage of learning. Enjoy!
