Mr. Rustichelli has a lot of admirers – Carlos Santana and Miles Davis being just two. After listening to “Neopagan” I can see why.
This album is lyrical, intriguing, evocative, and even hypnotizing. It’s as if jazz met dance and they had a lovechild. You don’t really want to get up and move around, but it’s not the entirely mental exercise that jazz tends to be, either.
Recommended for anyone who enjoys jazz.
