This, the eleventh album from Dyan Garris, is a collection of fairly typical New Age/ambient songs. With a total time of just over 47 minutes, it is a lovely collection of music.
It is, however, nothing special. Soft piano notes are woven along with strings (often sounding like a synthesizer rather than real, except the guitar) flutes, bells, and, oddly a trumpet. Occasionally, Ms. Garris vocalizes, adding to the song’s richness. It is nice. Not amazing, but nice.
This would likely make good background music for a spa, or other healing atmosphere (in fact, I will likely give it to a friend who is a masseuse).
