This is great stuff! Mistic Rein has combined funky rock and roll (very 70s in feel) with some world beat and fantastic arrangements. Think of a throaty Shirley Manson (of Garbage) singing with Deep Purple with lyrics by Ricki Lee Jones and a couple of band members who insist on adding their jazz and ska influences. Weird, I know. But it works.

The lyrics are catchy and stick in your head – especially the quirky (She’s A) “Libra.” The title track rocks with an excellent beat and a bluesy tone running through it. The production is good -- very clean (an unusal qulity in a lot of independent music, sadly)

I would happily be plating this to dance to, and will be sharing it with my friends so they can bop along with me.
