It's rare to find a book on tarot and magic as well-executed as this one, making it a top read for me this year. Here, the author shows how to take the advice given from your Tarot reading to compose more accurate spells. For example, I'm recovering from pneumonia and sepsis. I used my cards to advise me on the best way I can use magic to aid in the healing process. From the advice I received from the reading, I was able to create a concise ritual that was sustainable and effective.
The book is wonderfully organized, which makes my little Virgo heart happy. Each section comes with practical Tarot interpretations depending on the topic. There are spreads, spells, ‘grocery lists’ of items to use, and yes, there’s a section on baneful magic, because, at some point, you may have to slap the breath out of someone.
This is not a book for rank beginners. If you don’t know how to read Tarot, you’re going to need to get those skills down before you progress to this book. For the rest of us, this book is a gift, and one I will refer to for a long time.
