A First Book of Paganism is exactly as the title suggests. This first book describes, with simple comparisons to mainstream religious practices, how a Pagan family worships and builds its traditions. Given the brevity of the book, it affords a surprising amount of depth: Wishom acknowledges other Pagan practices, explains and illustrates the Esbats, and includes prayers and resources for other Pagan parents. The partially colored illustrations give this book a lovely sense of completion.

Recommended.
