This new oracle deck features gorgeous art by Josephine Wall and a well-written booklet by Guthrie. It contains forty-four cards featuring three angel cards for guidance and protection, eight animal guides, and thirty-five other cards with insightful and inspiring messages.
The pictures on the cards feature gorgeous rich colors and highly detailed imagery. Human figures are accompanied by animals, insects, flowers, plants and trees, and natural vistas that give a sense of depth and perspective to the cards. These are quite fine for readers who rely on artistic cues and intuitive sensitivities for card interpretations. The name of each card is printed at the bottom along with a brief description of its meaning.
A 61-page fitted booklet is included in the custom two-piece box. Gaye Guthrie elaborates on the card’s title and meaning and includes a mantra (affirmation) that can be repeated to reinforce the sentiment. Each card is given a paragraph or two on its own page within the booklet. For example, the Owl card’s description includes the passage, “Learn from the silence of the owl’s spirit, which offers lessons of stealth and poise in our everyday lives. If you are about to take on a new business venture or let go of some parts of your life that are no longer relevant, it is important that you become more observant.”
The cards are a generous 3.75” x 5.5”. This size offers plenty of room for all of the details of the artwork to be visible. This lovely oracle deck will make a fine addition to tarot readings. It would also make a wonderful accompaniment to readings by practitioners who are psychics, mediums, channels, or angel workers. The gentle and uplifting tone of the cards offer sensible guidance and uplifting ideas.
