The Big Book of Pagan Prayer and Rituals is a comprehensive collection of prayers and rituals for modern day pagans. The book is open enough to cover any traditions followed, and acts as a guide for whichever intention the reader needs help with. The prayers and rituals can be tailored and customized but give a good groundwork of where to start. The prayers and rituals can also be used as is.

Part one of the book goes over Why and How We Pray including the Role of Prayer, Prayer Structure, Praying with Words, and Praying without Words. This section is filled with background, history, offerings, using music, the type of prayer structure that feels best, and more. Once the reader has decided what fits best, they can then dive into Part Two: Ritual Prayers.

For those that are new or need a refresher, author Ceisiwr Serith includes preparing for ritual and prayer information, purification techniques, creating sacred spaces, and more. The provided prayers can be used for a variety of things such as praise, callings, consecrations and blessings, times of the day/moon/year/life, abundance, well-being, offerings, requests and offerings, etc.

This isn’t the type of book that will be read cover to cover, but is intended to be more of a reference material. The reader can check the contents page to skip to the desired prayer or rituals they wish to perform. The list of offerings and glossary of deities alone makes the book worthy of your bookshelf.

This is a book recommended to have as a go to guide for the pagan shelf.
