Del Castillo is a dazzling 'newcomer' in the world of piano music, and she has a lot to offer the listener. I call her a newcomer because she is new to most listeners, despite having a new age session produced by Suzanne Ciani.

This is a simple album -- no layered instruments, no fancy studio gimmicks. Just pure, sweet, natural tones and notes arising from a grand piano. She is an expert at the kind of elegant, complicated playing that makes it look deceptively simple.

Her music, inspired by nature and water, is the right in the pocket of new age solo piano music that inspires too many others to go out and do a bad job. Her style is simplistic and does not rely on a fast tempo or forceful playing to convey emotions.

If you have any fondness for modern solo piano music, you will absolutely love this album.
