This book is an essential text for every Tarotist, whether they are beginners or experienced readers. Filled to the brim with rituals, spreads, guided meditations and writing prompts, Ms. Antenucci lovingly guides us from one practice to the next. Each chapter is a treasure. Chapter three, for instance, is filled with daily card draws, as well as a ritual which explores each suit of the minor arcana.
Chapter four introduces us to the 22 Acts of Magic template where each card of the Major Arcana is a portal that grants us a deep dive into the card. I did this practice starting with the Fool on the new moon and progressed with each ritual a day until the gibbous moon. The effects gave me greater insights into the cards as well as a profound understanding of my inner self.
The Quadrinity Ritual found in Chapter Five, is a synthesis of all four parts of our being:the body, emotional self, intellect and spirit. This ritual is comprised of a guided meditation and a card reading. Other rituals found throughout the text are for birthdays, ceremonies for the Wheel of the Year, celebrations for weddings, ice breakers and even a ritual for the beloved dead.
All of the rituals are easy to do with minimal props. The spreads are interesting and effective. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in incorporating ritual into their Tarot practice.
